Roles & Responsibilities
- A – Client Relationship Management
- – Build, sustain, and strengthen relationships with large corporate clients, multinationals, and institutional accounts.
- – Act as the primary interface between the bank and assigned portfolio, ensuring high levels of service and delivery.
- – Conduct regular client visits, business reviews, and feedback sessions to ensure optimum client engagement and satisfaction.
- B- Investment & Deal Structuring
- – Lead structuring of investment deals including project financing, syndicated loan structuring, asset-backed finance, and other tailored corporate solutions that meet client strategic goals.
- – Conduct investment analysis and financial modelling to evaluate deal viability, pricing, risk-return profiles, and structuring options.
- – Prepare and present investment proposals, term sheets, and deal memoranda for internal credit and risk committee approval.
- – Work closely with treasury, legal, risk, and product/transaction banking teams to structure optimal solutions while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal credit policies.
- C- Credit & Risk Management
- – Assess creditworthiness of prospects and existing clients through detailed financial analysis, cash-flow assessments, and industry trends.
- – Prepare sound credit and credit-related documentation in line with UBA credit policy.
- – Monitor portfolio performance and proactively address early warning indicators to mitigate asset quality deterioration.
- D- Business Development & Revenue Growth
- – Identify new business opportunities including investment deals, cash management, trade finance, and other value-added services.
- – Cross-sell and up-sell UBA’s full suite of corporate products to enhance share of wallet and deepen client engagement.
- – Drive the achievement of revenue, profitability, and market share targets in line with corporate banking goals.
- E- Portfolio & Market Analysis
- – Monitor industry, market developments, and competitive landscape to provide insights that inform product offerings and client advisory.
- – Maintain up-to-date intelligence on regulatory changes and macroeconomic factors impacting clients and financing deals.
Knowledge
- – Strong knowledge of corporate banking products, credit analysis, and risk management.
- – Good understanding of the Cameroonian banking regulations and OHADA framework.
- – Demonstrated track record in managing corporate portfolios and structuring investment/financing solutions in a Cameroon banking environment.
Skills
- – Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, especially in investment and credit analysis.
- – Deep understanding of structured finance products, corporate credit process, and risk management frameworks.
- – Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- – Results-driven, business development oriented, and able to work collaboratively across departments within the bank.
- – Proficient communication skills in English and French
Key Performance Indicator
- – Growth in corporate portfolio profitability and quality.
- – Volume and quality of structured investment deals closed.
- – Client satisfaction and retention indicators.
- – Asset performance and credit portfolio metrics.
Education Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in corporate banking, investment structuring, or credit/relationship management with exposure to structuring complex deals.
